If you can't get to Memphis in August, the European Elvis Festival is the place to be.
Join us on a visit to Bad Nauheim in Germany where Elvis lived while serving in the US Army from 1958 - 1960. We'll show you the iconic Elvis locations you've only ever seen in photographs, including Ray Barracks in nearby Friedberg and you'll see the homes Elvis lived in.
Julie and Trevor Yeardye from www.elvis.co.uk will be hosting this tour and promise to make this a unique event for all Elvis fans. Julie will also be giving a talk and Q&A on her books and sharing her extensive Elvis knowledge.
In addition to our itinerary, there will be lots going over the week in Bad Nauheim including:
And much, much more.
Day 1: 14 August
BA flight departs London Heathrow at 0820hrs arrival into Frankfurt at 1105hrs
Day 2: 15 August
Morning guided walking tour of Bad Nauheim – seeing many of the features of this beautiful spa town but majoring on the Elvis sights – the hotel and the house where he lived, where he shopped or relaxed and the sites of some of the now iconic photos that were taken of him there.
Days 3 - 5: 16, 17 & 18 August
Three full days of exploration and to enjoy the Elvis Festival. On one day we will visit Steinfurth – where Elvis and a work party from the Base erected a war memorial, along with Friedberg to see Ray Barracks, where Elvis was stationed. Although the base is non-operational a small part of it will be opened for this weekend to allow you to take photos and to get the feel of what it must have been like.
Day 6: 19 August
10.00am Passengers depart from Bad Nauheim and transfer to Frankfurt Airport for the flight back to London Heathrow.
